Finally found this on youtube, excellent documentary on A41 Eagles & porthcawl rally. Had a nightmare journey on the way back from this rally either the year before or after the one shown. Rode home on my own with about £2.50 on me after filling the tank, then my T5 seized up & died whilst crossing the severn bridge. No  AA or or breakdown cover so the bridge recovery van  rescued me from the bridge(no hard shoulder) & put my scooter in their compund. At the sevices I managed to cadge a lift on the back of a lad from peterboro S.C. who took me as far as Oxford where I tried to hitch for about two hours until I eventually phoned a mate back home, who came & picked me up. Had to then hire a van the following week to pick the scooter up & also got a bill from highways agency for taking scoot off the bridge & storing it! How I laughed!!

First Rally

Been playing with the scanner this morning. First rally CCI mod run at Blackpool 91, why? well neither Len or me were mods but we both had vespas so why not. I`d only bought my vespa (pk 100) to get about on & had no real intention to attend rallies but Blackpool seemed like an adventure.

 Despite being made welcome by the few mods we met on the saturday afternoon, we were refused entry to the night do at the winter gardens for wearing blue jeans which was a cci policy at time. When we got home Len wrote a letter to scootering magazine to complain then 3 weeks later we`d joined a club & were on our our way to a national. HOOKED!

This is one i`d forgotten about. I took my old mate Juicy on the back to this one, normally he films mountain biking but did a good job here. He`s also got a lot better at it so i think i`ll be asking some favours at some point. YSA rideouts used to be a lot fun but maybe they overdid it, dunno. Knaresborough is still on the calender though! Best of part video..2.40

Dunno if anyone still plays this tune at the rallies but it took me about 4 years to find out what it was( did`nt like to ask ). Did`nt expect it to be this band but its really really good innit!

I`ve been wondering where to start off with this blog so how about with this, LCGB`s lammy birthday bash. This is going to be my first rally on a Lambretta since Kelso 2005 & it looks like its gonna be a good `un
